VARISI FINGERNAIL
CHANGES TO EXPECT IN THE APPEARANCE OF THE NAIL.
You may experience a change of colour in the nail you are treating. It MAY change to a light orange colour, then to a dark orange, dark brown, green or even black before becoming transparent. Any and all of the above colours should not cause alarm. If you do not experience any changes in colour, it does not mean Varisi is not working for you. The colour changes depend entirely upon the type of nail disorder you may have.
During the initial application for Varisi you could experience a slight warming sensation in and around the nail you are treating. The sensation will last a very short period of time and should not deter you from the Varisi program.
WHY HYDROGEN PEROXIDE?
3% Hydrogen Peroxide is used as an antiseptic for flushing out any dirt or debris accumulated in the nail cavity during the course of the day from facial cosmetics, food, loose particles and paper products, etc. If allowed to remain under the nail, it becomes bacteria and thus aggravates the situation, often creating the need to clean out the nail with a sharp pointed instrument. DO NOT USE A SHARP POINTED INSTRUMENT TO CLEAN UNDER FINGERNAIL. THIS ONLY CREATES MORE PROBLEMS AND WILL LIFT THE NAIL EVEN FURTHER AWAY FROM THE NAIL BED. 3% Hydrogen Peroxide used on a daily basis as recommended will keep the nails clean and free from irritation of loose dirt and debris. |

| An infection of nail fungus (onychomycosis) occurs when fungi infect one or more of your nails. Onychomycosis usually begins as a white or yellow spot under the tip of your fingernail or toenail. As the nail fungus spreads deeper into your nail, it may cause your nail to discolor, thicken and develop crumbling edges — an unsightly and potentially painful problem. |
